He created so many memories and will continue to do so through his food and books. I can see his face now, that beaming friendly smile, opening the door for me as I stepped outside onto the London street. It was a flash moment and then I realised that it was him, Bill! And the moment had passed but it’s one I will never forget 🧡

Enjoyed reading this lovely tribute. To be quite honest, I’d never heard of Bill Granger. I know, I know!! (I did hear of his passing this Christmas) what a lovely connection you had with him. A personal, yet at arms length, connection. The information about Bill in your story propelled me to search to read more. I think I will investigate his cookbooks. I love a good cookbook and have way too many to be housed on my two “cookbook shelves” in my kitchen. Still can’t believe I’d not known of Bill. Thanks for the introduction Lindsay.

I don't know if any of us need more cookbooks... but if a book encourages gathering, and brightness, especially when things feel dark, go for it. that's what I'd say :)
