I loved this, Lindsay! I can't wait for next summer when I can host you and yours at the Windy Poplars. Lunch was a dream - a good one! xo

I'd say that dream was for sure an amalgam of where you feel most settled and confident (cooking and eating with friends) and where you feel least prepared (sending your boys off to university). I'm glad the real lunch ended happily, and I'm sure the university send-off will, too. Though that's not to say it will be a breeze for your heart. Hugs, mama.

Thank you Elizabeth... yes it was an amalgan, such a good word. So much of life is that tug of opposing things, and finding the harmony. It's making me think of a pie... flaky crust and soft filling coming together. yes. pie is the answer. xoxox

The other part was that the first client was close to death from cancer and she just wanted help?

No! Such a cruel added detail, your mind was really really going for it. Again, a hug and a sorry.

Funny I had my first anxiety dream last night. An art patron brought her niece to my house for art therapy. In another room another art therapy client a 20 year old expectantly waited for a fun art lesson. I forgot about them both and was in the kitchen with my adult children. Corn kernels and peas were on the floor everywhere, everything was a mess. I was trying to clean everything up. When I found out I had forgotten these people I was horrified. I felt so irresponsible. What do you make of it??? Thanks for your newsletter.Barrie

Oh Barrie I am getting anxiety just thinking about this dream! So vivid, so stressful. And what an extra detail - corn kernels and peas takes me back to when the kids were little, I'd add cheerios to that vision, squish and crunch underfoot, always. I would say that you're worried about something, a looming deadline, a desire to please someone, or heck, you just forgot a dental appointment and the anxiety crawled into your worst fears and served itself up in this dream? Gosh our minds are fascinating. Either way, if our dreams were real, all that we can do is tell the truth, say we forgot, apologize and move on. Vulnerability and honesty is the only way I'd say. Our minds try to tell us otherwise!

Oh this resonated so wholly with me, so much so it's like you read my mind. I can't batch cook either, my boys miraculously can. I cook on the fly joyously celebrating what evolved from the bottom of the crisper. I am adjusting on repeat to the heartrending release of beautiful young men into the world....and indeed wrestling with the expression. Oh and the dreams......maybe I need a to inhale the ocean and lunch with a pal xx
