It was SO fun, and such a beautiful way to see Paris, through our teacher's lens. What a treat.

I would love to see some of your work from the recent week with your mum. Some of your mum's too.

I will definitely share! I have to say being in a class doing assignments that were new to us meant we produced some questionable things 😂 but we are on a learning journey! I'll figure out a way to work images in here... stay tuned :)

I would think this experience with your mom will be one you will always cherish. I love imagining the two of you on this journey together, literally and figuratively. How did your mom's "abstract day" turn out? :)

We had the best time. I was so taken by my mom's positivity. Abstract it is! She ended up painting a large hydrangea blossom, almost as though she just cranked up the font size on her phone, nice and visible!

Sounds delicious.

Simplicity is oft the essence of magic be it Paint or cookery. I’ve just dived back into Claudia Rodin’s The Food of Spain again and am always amazed at the pared back list of everyday ingredients spins a cloak of delight. Simple other steps like grate rather than chop tomatoes … digging into Duck with Pears - a deceptively lush dish that has the family fighting over scraps. My son declined the offering seeing a text image of the first time had done it as being “ too brown” Now he is the one that hogs the bowl for brown scraps.

ahh how I love brown food! In all forms :) simplicity is always the best. I can see how it's easy to get away from that in the kitchen when ingredients aren't in season, but when they are, isn't wonderful when we just let them shine?
