Last week at my book club retreat, we had a fennel bulb that looked like a woman with her legs spread apart (we had a good laugh.) So I had to share this post with them- who knew she was indeed female! ; )

Intriguing. Paynter even more so.

Maybe we all need to write care instructions for ourselves, have them printed onto a hankie or scarf which we can tuck in a bag every day to have with us like a comfort toy or a pacifier. Just a thought...

Lindsay I thought you might want to interview Kate Gill for the food podcast? I’m staying with her now in South west France. She has great food stories. She ran a canal barge from Bordeaux to Agen France for 25 years. She now

Has a 300 year old house near Agen where she welcomes artists writers and cooks. You can learn more in the Camont Journals on Substack. She”s just so great with great food stories and many many years working with French Country food

I watched the video and spluttered and hid when the juice sprayed everywhere!! Hahaha. Oh dear. I don’t have a juicer. But lovely fresh juices like that sound wonderful. Wishing good health and happiness for you and your aunt. 🤗🤗❤️💕

Hope your aunt is on the mend. A big but quick thank you for the Peach, Nectarine and plum pie recipe. Done twice now, that pastry is a dream, second time by special request as a soul mending dessert for a celebration feast. It went a long way to heal a broken heart, pie is definitely love and pink. We trialled a few springs of rosemary to it as well and the piquancy against the unctuousness of the fruit is a dream.
