Loved this piece Lindsay, all the warm feels that familiarity brings. Places that are touchstones and filled with memories.

I’ve had more than a few coffees and treats there, while shopping Spring Garden in years past! Looking forward to visiting the Zwickers location 💜🌸

Thank you Heather. Zwickers new location is a detail I forgot to mention - they too didn’t close, but moved around the corner. Mr. Muncaster is still going strong, at 90 (something?)! See you there xo

Wow! I’ve taken art to be appraised there over the years, wonderful that he is still doing this.

See you there🌸💜xo

Likewise, I have so many memories of sitting in Steve-O-Reno's during my time in Halifax. I'm so glad that they are moving, not closing!!

Familiarity of place can be so comforting. And the Egg-O-Reno looks like it would cure anything else that needed a little tenderness. Lovely piece, Lindsay.

Thank you Elizabeth. I know you'd love Egg-O-Renos, for the name alone! x

Your memories are evocative! I moved to Halifax in 1969, and finally left in 1991, two children, two houses and two university degrees later. I loved your piece, both because I could envision some of the locations and because it reminded me of the warmth and love I experienced there with

dear, dear friends.

There is nothing like the feeling of warmth to pull you into a place. I know it doesn't always happen in a new home, but I glad you found it in Halifax! x
